Episode #38 Card (Jan. 10, 2019):
Show Opener: Drew McIntyre comes out and says that he has not been challenged by this roster in a very long time. I will not leave today without entering the Royal Rumble at #1 because the #1 spot is the biggest challenge to any wrestler in WWE History. GM Paige comes out and says that she has to hand it to Drew because he's got bigger guts than anybody else. If he wants the #1 spot so bad, then he can have it. But good luck beating #2. Match #1: Roman Reigns vs. Andrade w/ Vega RESULT: ROMAN REIGNS WINS Segment: Backstage Interview with Shayna Baszler. She is asked about how she feels about the Fatal four way after her loss to Natalya last week. Baszler responds saying that her loss last week was a slip up and that Nattie got lucky but lightning doesn't strike twice and come Sunday Nattie will figure that out the hard way, as for tonight I have to go teach a certain someone who the boss really is. Match #2: Naomi vs. Natalya RESULT: NATALYA WINS Segment: Sami Zayn and Cesaro draw their numbers for the Royal Rumble then Kevin Owens enters and draws his number. Zayn says have fun being by eliminated by us. Owens turns to Zayn and verbally chops him down. Owens says that he loves this new friendship brewing between Zayn and Cesaro but where does this go? Will they win tag team gold? Will either of them become United States Champions? What about the WWE Championship? I've done things in the past I'm not proud of and as a man I can't admit that but my legacy in this business is cemented forever. I'm a US Champion, Intercontinental Champion, and Universal Champion. You two can be friends all you want but what happens when Cesaro wants to become a singles champion again. Owens leaves and it's awkward. Match #3: One Nation vs. Lucha House Party w/ Kalisto RESULT: ONE NATION WINS Segment: Backstage Interview with Roman Reigns on what he thinks his chances are at winning the Royal Rumble. He says this year is no tougher than any other. You got guys like Kevin Owens, Cesaro, Elias, Sami Zayn, Drew McIntyre all gunning to win and that's just on the Smackdown side. But if he's been reminded about anything the past two years, is that luck is on his side. The Royal Rumble will be tough but with grit and perseverance, he's confident he will make it through and headline Wrestlemanina once again. Match #4: Sasha Banks vs. Shayna Baszler RESULT: SHAYNA BASZLER WINS Segment: Miz TV with AJ Styles. Miz and Styles hype up their match. Miz asks Styles want he is going to do after he loses the Intercontinental Championship at the Royal Rumble? Styles says he won't be losing the title. How will you feel when the title you helped make popular will slip through your fingers again? Etc. etc. etc. Sheamus arrives and Brogue Kicks Miz in the jaw and yells at him. Styles likes hypes up Sheamus, Sheamus glares at him and then Styles quickly leaves. Main Event: The Pure vs. The New Day RESULT: NO CONTEST -Big locker room brawl in the ring, where people are "eliminating" out of it until we're left with Kofi and Daniel
