Episode #22 Card (Sept. 17, 2019):
Show Opener: New Day open up SDLive celebrating Kofi Kingston's WWE Championship victory with balloons, pancakes, children, etc. Pete Dunne and Drew McIntyre crash the party, Dunne says he wants a rematch for his title. McIntyre steps in and says that he never actually lost his title and that Pete Dunne is in the back of the line. The two stare each other down and Kofi says that he loves this tension and then Woods pulls out his phone and does his best Michael Cole anonymous GM impression and says that he got a text from Paige who says that she has just made a #1 Contender's match between Drew McIntyre and Pete Dunne official for tonight. Match #1: ALI vs. Andrade w/ Vega RESULT: ANDRADE WINS Segment: Backstage Interview with Velveteen Dream who says that Dream knows for a fact that he is the rightful winner of his match against King Rey so to prove that I challenge Rey to match at the 20th Anniversary of Smackdown Live, celebrating the past and the future (points to self) of this brand, and to make sure the pinfalls count, let's make it a 2 out 3 falls match to truly decide the best of Smackdown Live. Match #2: Natalya vs. Dana Brooke -Alexa Bliss & Nia Jax on commentary, no selling questions about their disagreements as of late and instead say they deserve another FAIR shot at the title RESULT: NATALYA WINS -Following the match, Natalya looks at Bliss & Jax and raises her title. Baszler's music hits. She comes out and says that since coming to Smackdown Live, she has owned the women's division and last night she proved that she now needs to own the SDLive Women's Championship and then Baszler goes for the attack. Natalya gets a quick dodge but then Baszler nabs her and chokes her out. Then Baszler picks up the title and raises it up. Segment: English and Elias come out to do a song. They sing about how they are the greatest tag team in the world. They can beat anyone on the roster. HM come out and say that E&E are just losers who need to break the rules to win and wouldn't have a chance against anyone in a clean fight especially us the team that's blue-collar solid, which means we work hard for results and don't just take shortcuts to win. HM storm to the ring and get face to face with E&E and challenge them to another match. Match #3: Heavy Machinery vs. English & Elias RESULT: HEAVY MACHINERY WINS Segment: Carmella is interviewed backstage and welcomed back. She is asked what she thinks of the scope of the SDLive Women's roster. Carmella says that a lot of people on the roster look great but no one is as fabulous as her. Bianca Belair walks up to her, looks her up and down and then turns around and laughs, whipping her hair back in the process. Match #4: Apollo Crews vs. "The Demon" Finn Balor RESULT: FINN BALOR WINS Segment: The Pure come out to brag about their victories at No Mercy and say that there is no one that can beat the PURE talent, the PURE wrestling knowledge, and the PURE teamwork of them. The Usos come out and interrupt and say that the Usos have been together since day one and that their teamwork and hard work can't be outdone. The Revival stop them and say that if the Usos want a shot at the titles they're gonna have to get to the back of the line. The Usos respond with saying "This isn't about the gold. Right now it's about how you messed with Family." Roman's music hits and the three storm the ring and send The Pure running and Roman and the Usos stand tall. Main Event: Pete Dunne vs. Drew McIntyre - #1 Contenders Match for the WWE Championship RESULT: DOUBLE COUNTOUT
